Be Careful, Little Tongue!

SCRIPTURE (본문 말씀) James 3:9-12

MEMORY VERSE (외울 말씀)

“With the tongue, we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness.” James 3:9

APPLICATION

Speaking is something we do all the time.

Everyday we use our tongue to talk with other people.

We need to use it.

But we better make sure we are using it right.

Why?

Because it easily makes a person go down the wrong path.

If we read our memory verse, with the tongue…

Swearing at each other, talking about others behind their back, calling names, are all things that hurt others.

“Sticks and stones may break my bone but words will never hurt me.”

It is not true.

Words do hurt and if we say we love people, we won’t go cursing them.

Matthew 12:34 “For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.”

Matthew 12:36 “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
